MACHINE TRANSLATION WORKSHOP SERIES
I’m not a Memsource customer. Can I join?
You sure can. The workshops are for all localization professionals.
What if I register but can't make it?
It’s all good. The workshops will be recorded and emailed to registrants after the event.
Will the workshop be recorded?
Yes, if you register for the event, you'll receive the recording via email.
Can I ask questions?
Absolutely! These workshops are for you. Bring your questions and participate during Q&A.
In November 2020, we launched a series of MT workshops with a brainstorming session with over 500 attendees, where we discussed the most pressing aspects of MT implementation on localization workflows.
We’ve selected the top-voted topic to address first—pricing models for MT post-editing.
Points to discuss:
How are you pricing raw MT vs. light PE vs. full PE?
Are linguists charging per word, hour, or effort?
How do you choose a pricing model? Does it change by project?
When is the edit-distance payment model best?
Participants will have the opportunity to come together with like-minded localization professionals to share and discuss different approaches to MT post-editing pricing.
We’ll moderate the discussion, provide an interactive guide, and organize a diverse group of panelists to share their experiences.

"I was feeling slightly negative about MT before, but am much more positive now. I think MT will open up possibilities for translation, not close down human translation. So it sounds exciting."
